As we go through life seeking to feel or even experience the presence and power of the Almighty God one has to wonder where did our zeal and passion go. Lots of times we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life and forget the he is the source of our strength. Yes we go to church and attend Bible study, but something is missing in out heart and we know it. there is an emptiness that's there.
Bartimeaus was a blind beggar who knew no other life except begging, but one day he heard that one day Jesus was passing by. The same Jesus that had been healing the sick and raising the dead. The same man who had been giving sight to the blind and walking on water. Bartimeaus thought to himself that he had to get this wonderful man's attention because if anyone could change his situation then Jesus could. You see Bart was know as the son of the dirty man and that gave him his identity. He accepted that mediocre life all those years and couldn't get out of the normal hustle and bustle of life and begging.
Jesus passed by and Bart began to shout to the Lord, The church folk told him be quiet, it don't take all of that to praise God, you don't have to lift your hands like that, you don't have to jump and shout like that, but Bart thought to himself I've got to get his attention to so that he can heal my body and set my soul free.
The thing about us today when we are stuck in a rut is we forget how to praise God in the bad times as well as the good. God inhabits the very praises of his people so he lives there and he will bring healing to you and your situation. Bart was called by Jesus and healed and Bart followed Jesus, we can't forget to Praise Him to bring him near and he will hear our petitions there after. This is Pastor O saying that we don't have to fight for the Victory we can fight from our place of Victory because the Victory is already ours!!!!

He prayed
Sometimes in this life we feel burdened down with the weight of the world on our shoulders. Our minds run back and forth trying to rationalize whats really going on. We get to the point that we say that we are going to give up, but we are torn with staying in the fight and just letting it all go. Believe me I've been there .
God wants to let us know that no matter what we go through that He has never and will never give up on us. Though it seemed like the Lord had given up on his people when he wrote the book of Malachi and closed heaven for 300 years. The good news is that he sent his Son named Jesus to die in the pardon of our sins.
Jesus wants us to make it so that when we look at Luke 22:31,32 he told Peter that satin wants to sift you as wheat, but Jesus had prayed that his faith didn't fail. Wow The Jesus that is in Heaven who prayed for Peter the Apostle is at the right hand of The Father interceding for us right now. The only thing we have to do is stay on course and don't give up.
Hey when life gets you down remember Jesus is praying for you so don't give up.
This is Pastor O saying you don't have to fight for the VICTORY you can fight from your place of VICTORY because the VICTORY is already ours through Christ Jesus. Peace

The Work
Whe Jesus called the discilpes he called the to a life of service to their Master and to their community. Wjen Christ called them he gave them certian things they needed for their journey. Sometimes when he has a mission in mind he would tell them to take nothing with them. In Mark 6:7-8 Jesus instructs His dicciples to go out, but he gives them specific instructions not to take money, no extra clothes, or any food on their journey. Jesus was say ing that he has aleeady prepaired the way for them to go.
Many times as ambassaders for Christ we get impatient on how God is going to make a way for us. The supply seems slim and the money looks very low. We should take solice in the fact that God has already put in place everything we need for the journey. he doesent always share the details of the journey, but he always supplies.
Remember if he tells you to go its always a FAITH walk we have to be on and not a walk by sight. We want to see the end results before we even get started, but if God did this for us then how would our faith grow.

A Thorn In My Flesh
For the last past month I have been dealing with some physical issues. I appreciate all of the prayers from friends an family. The test for me, as I think on it, is that how will this allow God to get Glory. I have tried and tried to think of an answer, using my intellect and even asking friends who are in the medical field to help me diagnose my particular issue, but the problem still persisted. Sitting here tonight I have come to the realization that I was seeking the wrong answer. I was trying to be the man and trying to be strong because I am a man, not thinking that The Lord wanted my attention.
Looking at some scripture tonight I was reminded that when I am weak God is made strong. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12:7 that a thorn was given to him in his flesh to keep him from being too elated. This thorn Paul asked God to remove, but the Lord said no "My Grace is sufficient, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Looking at Paul and how he was a great preacher and Apostle. His Pastoral resume was impeccable. He spoke several languages and preached all over the world, yet he had something to remind him that God was in total control and that he should get no glory, but to give it all to the Lord.
Today we see Pastors, Bishops, Evangelist, Teachers, singers, worship leaders, and alter workers getting the BIG head because they have a position of leadership. The spotlight is on them and they do their job well, but God is not getting glory because everyone cant see Him for them. God knows that when we are weak, He is made strong. So lets be humble and allow God to get the Glory out of our lives.
For Pastor O, this thorn in my flesh is a constant humbling reminder that its not by power and not by might, but by His spirit that I do what I do . So often I preach and teach and never take time to sit there and be taught, that is a doorway for the enemy so slip pride in. Now this reminder lets me know that I'm still weak and God's Grace is sufficient.
Thanks for reading!!!
